About me...
I am a psychology and Spanish double major with a minor in writing practices. My college experience has changed the ways I think about writing and literacy: like the way each chip off a block of stone creates more detail and complexity, so too has my writing become more complex and crucial to the way I process the world. In doing so I have been able to discover more about what lies beneath the stone face; who I am as a person. I hope to demonstrate the shift in my writing by displaying some pieces from throughout my college career thus far. Along with my development as a writer, I want to confront the challenges which I have encountered. I have therefore chosen to present some of the pieces which required the most effort and revision to create.

How this portfolio works
This portfolio is designed to demonstrate my growth as a writer and as a person over the last three years of college. Some of the crucial points of growth for me occurred in the margins of my handwritten notes; as such you may notice written notes in my portfolio pages. Through these I would like to display the effort which goes into any piece of writing a student might create, alongside its finished product. Both the process and product are equally important, in my mind, to the work of a writer.

Another major theme in this portfolio is my interest in architecture, something I was able to explore while studying abroad. I would like to address the theme of growth by displaying architecture of progressively more complicated and detailed designs alongside my writings. This will represent the parallel expansion of my knowledge over time.
